Operation Center-West 2 of the FAB begins

On September 3rd began, in Campo Grande Air Base, the Operation Center-West 2, an important exercise of the Brazilian Air Force.
Near 100 men and 16 airplanes of the brasilian air survelliance system will make aerial activities in the region with the goal of training the participating crews.
15 A-29 Super Tucano airplanes and 1 R-99A radar-plane will participate in this exercise.
The local squadrom will be the 3º/3º Air Gorup, Squadrom Flecha (Arrow), with base in the Capital and will receive the 1º/3º Air Group, Squadrom Scorpion, with base at in Boa Vista (RR) Air Base, the 2º/3º Air Group, Squadrom Griffo with base at Porto Velho Air Base (RO) and the 2º/6º Air Group, Squadrom Guardian, of Anápolis Air Base.
The call Family of Thirds, Flecha, Grifo and Scorpion A squadroms, are responsible for monitoring of more than 14,500 km that separates Brazil from Paraguay, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Guayana. Guayana Francesa and Surinam.
