First commercial flight of the A-380


Today it took place the first commercial flight of the Superjumbo by Singapore Airlines, in a flght that took off from Changdi Airport in Singapur at 00:16 GMT and landed at 07:23 GMT in Sidney`s Airport, with 455 people on board.
The tockets for this flight were sold in internet, collecting an aomunt of 1.3 millon dollars and that will be donated to charity.
With this flight ends the reign of the B-747 as king of the skies and puts Airbus and Europe in a privilege place in the aviation`s market.
This variant for Singapore Airlines counts on wtih 471 seats, but un the high density variant, the A-380, will be able to carry up to 853 passengers.
The Asian airline announced that regular flghts to Sidney will begin next Sunday, to London the next February and the following destination will be Japan.
