India close to sign agreement for six C-130J

India is moving ahead firmly to seal the contract for acquiring six C-130J ``Super Hercules`` miltar transport.
This contract is valued in $ 1 billon and the planes will be used for special operations, IAF`s sources said.
This agreement, the biggest between USA and India, confirms the good relationship between boths countries.  Besides, the Indian and American armed forces have held more than 50 military exercises in the last seven years.
Also, USA is aggressively trying to grab a huge chunk of the lucrative defence market in India.
On their part, IAF officers say the C-130Js, the latest version of Hercules with four powerful engines and greater payload-carrying capacity, will enhance India`s rapid reaction capabilities. India has been since many decades a Russian ally and the biggest military contracts has been signed with this country.
