Eurocopter presented the EC175 in HeliExpo

Eurocopter, European manufacturer of helicopters presented recently in the Heli-Expo of Houston, its new helicopter EC175, developed altogether with Harbin Aviation Industry Group.
In this exhibition was presented a scale model to real size and it is hoped that the inaugural flight of the helicopter will be in 2009, and the the type`s  homologation by the European Air Security Agency (EASA) is expected for 2011.
This helicopter counts on with a capacity for 16 passengers and will have an operational range of 200 nautical miles at a speed of 280 km/h.
Will be powered by two Pratt & Whitney PT6C-67E  engines provided with new generation systems FADEC and with the homologation anticipated for flights IFR with two pilots.
It counts with an big passengers cabin that will offer comfort and security to its 16 occupants and with big windows to enjoy the landscape.
It as announced that the EC175 will be the most ecological airship with the lowest emissions by transported passenger.
This machine was thought to be used to connect oil platforms, long distance search and rescue, public services, medical urgencies and like airship for commercial and businesses first class trips.
