Lufthansa creates a new Italian airline

Lufthansa has inaugurated a new Italian airline that will operate under the name Lufthansa Italy and that will unite the cities of Madrid and Barcelona with Milan as of the month of February.
In an official notice, the German aerial giant explained that the new airline will offer three daily flights between Barcelona and Milan from February 2, and two daily flights between Madrid and Milan from next March,2..
The company will also fly to Brussels, Budapest and Bucharest in spring, whereas London (Heathrow) and Lisbon are added to the network in the summer of 2009.
 Of this form, the new airline will offer to the clients’ eight new connections to Europe without scales from the airport of Malpensa (Milan).
 According to the German company, the suspension of a series of connections with Milan-Malpensa was the reason that took to Lufthansa to create the new airline, that will initially operate with two Airbus A319 ( Milan and  Verase), formed for 138 passengers.
Vice-president of Human Resources and Services to the passengers of Lufthansa Airlines, Karl Ulrich Garnadt, emphasized that it is the first time that the company sends an air line outside Germany, something that, to his to seem, demonstrates to the confidence in the strength of the Italian market and the capacity of the company to fortify its position in the European market in spite of the present difficulties.
In order to celebrate the birth and the beginning of the Italian airline, Lufthansa has sent to a tariff 2x1 in order to travel to Milan without date limit to travel, that the clients will be able to reserve from today and to next the 10 of February by a final price of 99 Euros.
